Designed and built floor-to-ceiling built-in bookshelves flanking the fireplace in a Carroll Gardens brownstone living room. Used paint-grade poplar with adjustable shelving, crown molding detail, and integrated LED strip lighting. The finished piece adds both storage and architectural character to the room.
Sanded and refinished original red oak hardwood floors throughout a six-room apartment on the Upper East Side. Repaired damaged boards, filled gaps, applied three coats of water-based polyurethane, and achieved a satin finish. The century-old floors look brand new while preserving their historic character.
Built a 12x16-foot composite deck off the back of a Howard Beach home with integrated bench seating and a pergola. Used pressure-treated framing with composite decking boards for low maintenance. Filed the required DOB permit and the deck passed all structural inspections.
Restored the original wooden staircase in a Throgs Neck two-family home including treads, risers, balusters, and newel post. Replaced five cracked treads, re-glued loose balusters, and stripped decades of paint from the handrail to reveal beautiful oak underneath. The staircase is now both safe and stunning.
Built a custom closet organization system in the primary bedroom of a Eltingville colonial home. Constructed double-hang sections, adjustable shelving, a shoe rack, and pull-out drawers from maple plywood. The walk-in closet now holds twice as much clothing in an organized layout.
