Replaced corroded galvanized steel pipes with modern PEX throughout a 1920s co-op bathroom. Work included removing old supply lines behind plaster walls and installing new shut-off valves at each fixture. Water pressure improved dramatically and passed DOB inspection on first review.
Installed a new undermount sink with garbage disposal and connected a freestanding dishwasher in a Bushwick railroad apartment. Rerouted drain lines to accommodate the new layout and added a dedicated hot water supply for the dishwasher. The compact kitchen now has full modern functionality.
Removed a failing 40-gallon gas water heater and installed a high-efficiency tankless unit in a three-story Astoria townhouse. Updated the gas line and venting to meet current NYC code requirements. The family now enjoys unlimited hot water with lower gas bills.
Responded to an emergency call for a burst copper pipe in a Riverdale apartment during a winter cold snap. Isolated the break, drained the affected section, and soldered a new coupling within two hours. Inspected all exposed piping for additional freeze risk and added insulation sleeves.
Installed a primary sump pump with battery backup in a Staten Island Cape Cod that experienced recurring basement flooding. Cut a new sump pit in the concrete floor and routed discharge piping to the exterior. The homeowner has had zero flooding incidents since installation.
